A TP-Link Case Study
Tsui Wah Restaurant, a Hong Kong restaurant chain, needed a more reliable Wi‑Fi network to support its wireless food-ordering system across more than 30 branches. Its outdated 802.11g access points were slow and unstable, while crowded locations, heavy customer usage, and budget constraints made it difficult to deliver consistent service. TP-Link provided a cost-effective business Wi‑Fi solution to address these challenges.
TP-Link implemented 80 Auranet EAP220 enterprise access points and 30 TL-SG1008P PoE switches, managed through free EAP Controller Software. The dual-band EAP220s improved coverage, speed, and stability, while features like load balancing, QoS, band steering, Rate Limit, and captive portal helped manage congestion and customer access. As a result, Tsui Wah Restaurant improved Wi‑Fi performance, shortened order times, enhanced customer satisfaction, and boosted its reputation through better in-store browsing and social sharing.
