A Toxnot PBC Case Study
Teknion, a private family-owned maker of modern office furniture (including Studio TK and Luum textiles), faced growing complexity in managing product and supply chain data across multiple locations and brands. They needed a single system to organize bills of material, ensure data quality, and reduce the time and cost of responding to customer requests for sustainability reports such as Environmental Data Sheets (EDS), HPDs, and Declare labels, so they chose Toxnot.
Toxnot centralized Teknion’s product and materials data, imported existing records, and introduced Linked Materials and a custom EDS template tied to industry programs like ILFI Declare and the HPD Collaborative. The platform delivered high-confidence, consistent reports across eight North American facilities and cut customer report turnaround from weeks to days or even hours, simplified new product launches, and streamlined publishing and compliance workflows.
