Trident Housing Association, one of the UK’s leading social housing providers, needed better control over purchasing and accounts payable. With many on-site purchases initiated informally by phone or email, paper requisitions often went missing, budgets were hard to manage, and finance had little visibility into commitments. Trident turned to Touchstone Spend Management and its PROACTIS purchasing solution to help address these issues.
Touchstone Spend Management implemented PROACTIS integrated with Trident’s financial and property systems to automate purchase authorisation, invoice matching, and reporting. The solution is now used across nearly all purchases, with around 100 employees regularly adopting it, improving budget control and providing full audit trail visibility. Trident also reduced Accounts Payable workload through three-way matching and troubleshooting workflow, allowing staff to be reallocated to other tasks.
