Bellevue Baptist Church, a large congregation in Memphis led by Dr. Steve Gaines, faced a growing membership and an aging, in‑house church management system that was difficult to use and not accessible online. After finding off‑the‑shelf products inadequate, Bellevue built its own Bellevue Church Management System (BVCMS), which later evolved into the vendor TouchPoint Software—an online, mobile-ready church management platform.
TouchPoint Software delivered a full-featured solution (mobile app, responsive website, attendance and child check‑in, mass texting, and targeted email segmentation) that put data access and management in the hands of staff and lay leaders. The change eliminated the need for an entire data‑entry staff, improved data cleanliness and ownership, streamlined communications and ministry outreach, and scaled into a platform now used by hundreds of churches.
