Case Study: BSI Engineering achieves improved project transparency and reduced risk with Touchplan

A Touchplan Case Study

Preview of the BSI Engineering Case Study

Touchplan’s Platform Aids Engineering Firm by Improving Project Operations

BSI Engineering, an employee-owned full-service engineering firm serving chemical, pharmaceutical, food, consumer products and renewable fuels clients, faced inefficient, manual planning workflows—relying on sticky notes and Microsoft Project—and limited visibility into interdisciplinary coordination and client decisions. The firm was introduced to Touchplan’s construction planning software on a large consumer-products project and adopted it enterprise-wide to address transparency, scheduling clarity, and risk from poor look-ahead planning.

Touchplan implemented a visual, digital planning platform that lets teams set cross-discipline constraints, run look-aheads, and surface client decisions that affect schedules. As a result, Touchplan improved transparency and collaboration, shifted accountability to discipline teams (including on multimillion-dollar projects), reduced project risk, eliminated time-consuming sticky-note transfers, and cut time spent in construction planning meetings while improving schedule visibility and decision-making.
