Touchplan Helps Deliver Alignment & Reduce Risk on Maine Construction Project

Penobscot General Contractors was building a 30,000 sq. ft., four-story, 39-unit senior living facility in Scarborough and struggled to coordinate accelerated MEP rough‑in work across multiple trades using a traditional six‑week lookahead. To improve trade flow and clarity around responsibilities and inspections, Penobscot brought in Touchplan’s construction planning software to better visualize and sequence work by floor and area.

Touchplan ran an onboarding session and helped the team break down MEP tasks per floor, set clear milestones and inspection dates, and involve subcontractors directly in planning meetings. As a result, Touchplan increased productivity and flow, created stronger alignment and accountability among trades, reduced the amount of rework, and improved site safety — outcomes the Penobscot team has carried forward to subsequent projects.
