Touchplan helps Build & Deliver Vital Hospital Space on Time

Batson-Cook, a General Construction, Design‑Build, and Construction Management firm in the southeastern U.S., faced a complex renovation of a 12,000 SF hospital surgery department in Canton, GA. The work included new and expanded operating rooms and support spaces performed while existing ORs remained active and much work occurred “behind the red line” under strict infection controls. To coordinate detailed weekly, daily and even hourly sequencing and manage Covid disruptions, Batson‑Cook turned to Touchplan.

Touchplan’s digital pull‑planning tools replaced sticky‑note walls with exportable schedules and real‑time updates so teams could sequence work by duration and staffing, update remotely, and swap crews as needed. As a result, Touchplan helped keep the project on schedule, enabled one floor to finish a month early, and reduced pull‑planning meetings from hours to as little as 30 minutes, all while maintaining patient safety during Covid.
