Touchplan Delivers Enhanced Collaboration on Extensive Hospital Build

Alberici Constructors was the general contractor for Mercy’s 272,000‑sq‑ft Multispecialty Center and adjacent parking garage, a complex healthcare expansion next to an active hospital. Facing thousands of activities that were unmanageable with spreadsheets and sticky notes—and the inability to hold safe in‑person pull planning during COVID—the Alberici LeanEdge team sought a digital solution and selected Touchplan to support scaled, remote pull planning and better integration with their Lean program.

Touchplan was piloted on the Mercy project (one of three) to replace manual pull planning with a scalable digital board that surfaces constraints, supports master‑plan or WBS views, and centralizes ticket updates. As a result, Touchplan improved collaboration and trade engagement, made it far easier to align and update the master schedule, saved PM time (enabling near‑complete P6 schedule updates from ticket data), and helped keep the project on track and on budget. Touchplan therefore became a core enabler of Alberici’s LeanEdge rollout.
