Construction Accelerator & Touchplan A 1-2 Punch for Project Success

Kinetic Construction, a British Columbia general contractor founded in 1984, faced the challenge of fully embedding Lean principles—specifically the Last Planner System® (LPS)—across projects and getting field teams and trade partners to adopt new tools and processes, a problem made harder by COVID-driven remote work. To address this, Kinetic partnered with Touchplan (together with Construction Accelerator training content) to support LPS rollout and improve schedule reliability and team collaboration.

Touchplan delivered a cloud-based collaboration and scheduling platform combined with Construction Accelerator video training and Kinetic’s small-group LPS modules, enabling virtual onboarding, clearer weekly constraint meetings, and real-time schedule visibility. The Touchplan/Construction Accelerator approach increased schedule reliability and early constraint resolution, expanded use from 1 to 20 projects, and helped some projects finish up to three months early while improving flow, accountability, and remote collaboration.
