Boreal launches Android farming app in 2019–2020 with Touchlane

Touchlane was engaged by Boreal, a Finnish agricultural company, to develop an Android farm management application. The challenge was to create an intuitive data tracking app that could outperform competitors and consolidate all farm records into a single tool. A significant hurdle was designing a user interface for a specific device with a physical keyboard that the Touchlane team did not have physical access to, relying only on descriptions and expertise.

Touchlane provided a turn-key development solution, building the entire app including its backend and a user-friendly interface. The app allowed users to manage field traits, import and export data, and overview their workflow. After its successful release, Touchlane was further tasked with implementing updates to enhance functionality and refine the UX/UI based on user feedback. The final product efficiently functions on all required devices, helping Boreal meet modern agricultural needs.
