West Buckland supports their students with emergency COVID hardship fund

West Buckland School Foundation used ToucanTech to support its community during the COVID-19 crisis, when it had to move teaching online for students from 18 countries and manage the financial pressures affecting the school. The foundation needed a fast way to protect students’ education and keep families, alumni, and supporters informed while responding to the unfolding hardship.

With ToucanTech, West Buckland set up an emergency hardship fund in just a few days and promoted it through emails from its database, quickly generating generous donations from the school community. ToucanTech also helped the foundation send newsletters and updates, and the effort enabled 27 pupils to stay on for the next academic year, with the school aiming not to lose any students because of financial hardship.
