Case Study: St John’s College engages and grows its online alumni community with ToucanTech

St John's College are sharing new initiatives to engage & grow their online community

St John’s College, a residential college within the University of Sydney, needed a better way to stay connected with its global alumni network, especially since more than 10% of students come from overseas. ToucanTech provided an online community platform to support alumni engagement, mentoring, events, news, fundraising, and other communications.

Using ToucanTech’s integrated CRM, forms, email engine, events system, groups, mentoring tools, payments, and branded app, St John’s College launched its first online community in November 2020 and has since attracted over 450 sign-ups. The platform has helped the college celebrate alumni achievements, grow activity across the network, and support philanthropic goals, with the college also reporting strong engagement through alumni profiles, news, galleries, campaigns, and events.
