St Albans High School for Girls provides exceptional careers support for alumnae

St Alban’s High School for Girls, a leading independent school in the UK, wanted to strengthen its alumnae community and provide better support for networking, careers guidance, and ongoing engagement, especially as in-person connection became difficult during COVID. Using ToucanTech’s community site, the school needed a way to bring alumnae together, host events, and create a more connected online space.

ToucanTech helped St Alban’s High School for Girls run virtual events, including intimate small-group sessions with the new Head and the school’s first virtual reunions for the classes of 1970 and 1980. The school also launched a weekly careers webinar series, alumna-to-alumna mentoring, and an annual magazine distribution process using ToucanTech mail merge and online publishing. The result was stronger engagement across generations, international participation from alumnae in places like the US, Canada, and New Zealand, and a growing mentoring network that supports graduates, school leavers, and alumnae considering career changes.
