Solihull School's digital alumni community sign-ups soar to 240 in 30 days

Solihull School worked with ToucanTech to build a digital alumni community and strengthen engagement with recent leavers and long-standing alumni alike. During lockdown, the school needed new ways to connect, promote events, and encourage sign-ups without the usual in-person alumni activity.

Using ToucanTech’s alumni community platform, Solihull School launched a site with events, news, communications, and fundraising features, while promoting it through social media, virtual careers seminars, quizzes, and email signatures. The results were strong: over 1,500 alumni signed up in nine months, including 240 sign-ups in 30 days, and 96% of online profiles opted in to receive email and fundraising communications, giving ToucanTech a clear impact on growth and future fundraising reach.
