MADaboutART, a grassroots charity in South Africa focused on fighting HIV through art and education, faced major disruption during the coronavirus pandemic as tourism collapsed, school meals stopped, and many families lost income. With limited internal resources, they needed a simple way to keep their website, donations, and communications running while continuing to support children and their wider community. ToucanTech provided the platform they used to manage these needs.

ToucanTech helped MADaboutART launch a coronavirus relief campaign on their website, making it easier to collect donations and coordinate support for food, cloth masks, and soap. The charity used this system to keep operating during the pandemic and, over six months of lockdown, delivered more than 19,000 meals and distributed 2 cloth masks and a bar of soap to more than 500 people. ToucanTech enabled MADaboutART to continue feeding and educating children while also supporting community resilience.
