The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) needed a better way to connect with its global alumni community, manage engagement, and keep alumni data current across communications, mentoring, and events. IDS chose ToucanTech’s all-in-one alumni community database and website platform to support its alumni network.

ToucanTech helped IDS centralize records, run mass emails and newsletters, collect updates through online forms, sync email activity, and share news, photos, and ambassador information through a branded alumni site. The results included 4,500+ records in the database, 1,304 online members, a 54% opt-in rate, a 42% average email open rate, 272 new records added in 2019, and 6,007 reads of the Yellow Monday newsletter, showing strong ongoing engagement with the network.
