Hispanic Development Fund supports 325 scholars through 2020 fundraising

The Greater Kansas City Hispanic Development Fund (HDF) is a long-running nonprofit focused on improving the lives of Latino families through philanthropy, grants, and scholarships. To reach more donors and adapt to growing virtual giving, HDF set up a ToucanTech website and needed a better way to communicate its mission, support fundraising, and engage its community.

Using ToucanTech, HDF created a multi-purpose website for fundraising, donor storytelling, and community support, including matched giving campaigns, a COVID-19 relief fund, newsletters, and bilingual college-prep resources. The results were strong: HDF raised thousands of dollars through the platform, doubled its Hispanic Heritage Month fundraising impact to $155,390 from $77,695, and supported 96 scholars in 2019 and 325 scholars by 2020.
