Berkhamsted's alumni site launch is a success: 700 sign ups in the first month

ToucanTech worked with Berkhamsted School and the Old Berkhamstedian Society to launch a new alumni community site and strengthen engagement across a large alumni database of nearly 20,000 contacts. Their challenge was to encourage alumni and recent leavers to register, start using the platform, and see clear value in joining the online community.

ToucanTech supported Berkhamsted with effective email marketing, prominent registration buttons, career and mentor features, industry clubs, and user guides to make the site easy to use and engaging. The launch delivered 700 sign-ups in the first month, including 130 sign-ups from the 2020 year group of 184 students, and Berkhamsted now adds a register/login button to every mass email to sustain growth and engagement.
