Zeeman opts for online learning to accelerate international growth

Zeeman, the Netherlands-based European retailer, needed a way to share its culture, training, and work processes consistently as it expanded across eight countries. Its traditional in-person, local training model no longer fit its vision for universal, accessible learning, so Zeeman turned to Totara and its Learn@Zeeman platform to support international growth, onboarding, and employee development.

With Totara, Zeeman converted nearly all classroom training into online learning, added mobile-first and offline access, and improved certification tracking for BHV, privacy, and GDPR. The results included a 26% increase in users from 2019 to 2023, a 43% rise in online workshops, a 21% growth in sales-trajectory participants, and a 130% increase in completed courses, while also reducing travel and training costs and improving employee satisfaction.
