Watts, a global leader in water-technology products, needed a more intuitive, scalable way to deliver and track centralized online training for employees and partners. Their legacy LMS made access difficult and limited engagement, so the learning team sought a modern platform with LXP-style features to grow a learning culture across the enterprise and extended network.
Partnering with Kineo, Watts implemented a branded Totara Learn site with auto-audience assignment and the Motrain gamification plugin to launch a “Learn and Earn” token program redeemable for Watts-branded merchandise. The new platform made content easier to add and promote, and engagement surged: course completions jumped from ~1,000 in 2018 to more than 28,000 in the first 90 days, with 2,300+ external self-registrations, 121 courses available, 30,676 external enrollments and 688 merchandise redemptions.
