Virgin Care Engaged 86% of Employees With Totara Learn in the First 20 Weeks Since Its Launch

Virgin Care, a UK provider of NHS front-line and social care services, needed a modern learning platform after its old proprietary LMS proved hard to navigate, inflexible for administrators and poor at driving engagement and mandatory training compliance. The organisation required a faster, more user-friendly system to deliver statutory and development learning across a large, regulated workforce and reduce training costs.

Working with Chambury Learning Solutions to deploy Totara Learn, Virgin Care delivered a branded, single-sign-on platform with SCORM induction content, integrated reporting and rapid rollout—going live in late May 2016. Within 20 weeks more than 4,300 staff (over 86% of employees) were actively using the LMS, generating 10,000 course completions, 5,000 mandatory completions and 35,000 certification records (including legacy data), with up to 71% compliance on Core Skills Framework topics and further rollout plans underway.
