Traemand, a home-improvement company operating across 32 US states that connects IKEA customers with local craftspeople, needed a flexible, stable learning platform to support rapid growth and to track safety and compliance for in-home installations. Their previous LMS was little more than a basic course delivery system with poor admin and user interfaces and lacked the group and permission complexity required for a mixed workforce of employees and partner crews.

Working with Totara partner Envisiontel, Traemand implemented Totara Learn, using Programs and badges to guide learners and separate compliance audits, plus audiences and hierarchies to enforce role-based access across employee and partner structures. The new system is fully administered internally, boosting engagement through an easier interface and custom reporting, streamlining onboarding with four automated internal courses (and upcoming NetSuite integration), and providing the scalability and control needed as the business grows.
