Totara solution upgrades a leading general insurance learning platform

RWA Compliance Services Ltd, a leading UK general insurance compliance and training provider, needed to modernize its aging Aviva Development Zone LMS, which had been built on old Moodle software and was supporting more than 16,000 users across nearly 800 client firms. The platform had to continue delivering CPD and regulatory learning with minimal disruption while preserving its unique functionality.

RWA partnered with Catalyst IT EU to rebuild the system on Totara 14, using Totara’s multi-tenancy, audiences, and open-badges features. Totara enabled a phased migration of all learners, firms, enrollments, courses, and learning history, while custom plugins such as a CPD Recorder and Manage Learning dashboard were added. The result was a new, more resilient platform with over 800 tenancies and about 16,170 users, improving flexibility, reporting, and client branding opportunities while supporting future growth.
