Totara Learn unlocks learning and innovation at Helvar

Helvar is a family-owned Finnish lighting technology company with over 90 years of expertise, where product knowledge and technical capability are core to the business. The UK training team needed to break down knowledge silos (files on network drives and experts’ heads), encourage a self-directed learning culture, and find a platform with stronger reporting, integration and user control than previous trials like SharePoint and Moodle.

Helvar partnered with Learning Pool to implement a customised Totara Learn called “Helvar eCademy,” providing branded interfaces for employees and partners, rich reporting, HR integration and support for webinars and e‑learning. The centralized, searchable LMS has driven strong adoption, made training part of everyday workflow, introduced new processes to publish training for every product release, and positioned Helvar to extend learning to distributors and clients.
