Totara Learn supports Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust with Patient Record System rollout

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) is a statutory provider of inpatient and community mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, employing around 4,750 staff and serving some 53,000 service users from more than 130 sites. When the Trust began rolling out the Paris electronic patient record (EPR) and case management system in 2014, its central NHS Oracle Learning Management system (OLM) proved inflexible and unable to support the rapid, large-scale training programme required.

Chambury deployed Totara Learn as a purpose-built LMS with Active Directory SSO, a responsive theme and blended courses (classroom, video, SCORM, quizzes), certifications, dashboards and bespoke reporting. The Paris training was completed within a year, Totara became the central repository across the region, legacy OLM data was migrated in a day, compliance and data integrity improved (Java-related issues disappeared), and the Trust continues to expand online modules and mandatory training using the platform.
