Totara Learn helps KwikFit to give new employees a jump-start

KwikFit, the Dutch tyre and car service chain with 1,200+ employees across 165 branches, needed a modern way to onboard and train staff as electric vehicles changed the skills mechanics need and the tight labour market made hiring and retention harder. Its old digital learning platform was outdated, so KwikFit turned to Totara Learn to create a more intuitive, reporting-friendly learning environment for employees of all ages.

Totara implemented Totara Learn as the new KwikFit Academy, launching it in three months and rolling it out first for new-employee pre-boarding before expanding to other groups. The results were strong: in the first month and a half, 50 new employees were invited and more than a third completed the full pre-boarding program with just one email invitation and minimal promotion. KwikFit also reported positive feedback from managers and employees, along with a clearer employee-focused learning approach.
