A Totara Case Study
The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) faced the challenge of scaling its wetland conservation training globally to reach conservation professionals across different regions, languages, and career stages. Their goal was to share expertise and improve conservation knowledge worldwide, but they needed a structured way to deliver training and foster a sense of community among learners. To achieve this, WWT partnered with Totara and implemented the Totara LMS.
Using Totara LMS, WWT created the Wetland Learning Hub, which featured structured learning pathways, interactive content, and social learning via Totara Workspaces. The solution included multilingual delivery and live seminar management. The results were significant, with 192 learners successfully completing the course and 100% of surveyed participants reporting a positive impact on their knowledge. Furthermore, 79% of learners shared their new knowledge with colleagues, extending the program's reach and creating a scalable model for global conservation training.
