THE US DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE HAS THE FREEDOM TO SAVE WITH TOTARA LEARN

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) needed a better learning and talent development platform for AgLearn after more than 12 years on a commercial off-the-shelf system that limited its ability to innovate and control the product roadmap. USDA wanted greater flexibility to support its internal teams and external partners, while also meeting the needs of a large federal audience and many agencies.

USDA chose Totara Learn from Totara as the open source foundation for a custom migration from its legacy COTS platform. Totara helped USDA build a secure, responsive LMS in AWS GovCloud with custom government functionality, external integrations, and mobile-friendly access. The new AgLearn system went live in 2018 and now supports 140,000 end users, 2,000 administrators, and 30 agencies, while delivering cost savings and more efficient administration.
