A Totara Case Study
The Swedish Board of Agriculture, Sweden’s government authority for agriculture and food policy, faced a major training and certification challenge: about 25,000 people must renew plant protection certifications every five years across 21 county boards, and the existing system made follow-up and reporting cumbersome and prevented digital, blended learning. The agency needed a more user-friendly, flexible platform and invited suppliers; Totara partner Xtractor was chosen under a tight schedule to replace the old system before year-end.
Xtractor implemented Totara Learn with BankID login, predefined course types and self-service certification registration, simplifying administration and standardizing workflows. The platform delivered on time, produced clear, accurate reporting, freed administrators to focus on strategic work, proved cost-effective and now supports up to 200,000 users — improving oversight and enabling more innovative training.
