The British Society for Rheumatology needed a more flexible, cost-effective digital learning platform to replace its custom WordPress-based system, which was difficult to update, limited in functionality, and dependent on third-party support. Working with Totara and its Totara Learn platform, BSR wanted greater control over its blended education programme and a better experience for its clinical members.

Totara implemented Totara Learn as a modern learning hub that could support online and face-to-face training, learner pathways, virtual courses, reporting, and personalized content. The results were strong: active usage nearly doubled, content was rated 4.8 out of 5, and BSR is now expanding the platform with e-commerce and CRM integration to further streamline member account management.
