STEP Energy Services, a Calgary-based oilfield services company with more than 400 staff supporting horizontal well operations across Western Canada, struggled to deliver mandatory compliance, safety and onboarding training to hundreds of dispersed field workers. STEP implemented Totara Learn with managed hosting and support from Lambda Solutions to deliver on-demand, self-paced and mandatory courses accessible anywhere with internet. The LMS streamlined delivery and tracking, improved training quality and engagement, reduced costs, and set the company up to expand talent development—adding performance reviews, goal setting, coaching and competency-aligned training directly in the platform.
