Finland’s Slot Machine Association (RAY), a state-backed gaming organisation with about 1,700 employees, needed a time- and cost-efficient way to deliver mandatory and product training to staff who work varied shifts, including nights and weekends. Traditional classroom sessions were expensive and hard to schedule, so RAY sought an LMS with flexible visibility and targeting, robust reporting, good load tolerance and partner-access controls.
RAY implemented Totara Learn for its business-focused reporting, easy course targeting and discoverability, and HR-related features. The platform’s certification capability now lets RAY monitor fulfilment of statutory training, managers can track performance more effectively, and the system is widely used for vocational, product, sales and partner training. User experience has improved, employees study more on their own time, and RAY is testing HR features and planning to expand training to partners.
