A Totara Case Study
The Province of Antwerp, a regional government partner to 69 municipalities, needed a modern, user‑friendly learning platform as part of its HR-digital update. Their previous LMS was hard to use, lacked social learning and e‑learning import, and its license was expiring — creating a clear opportunity to invest in a future‑oriented solution for employee development.
Using agile sprints, the team implemented Totara Learn (branded internally as LEO), trained Provincie Antwerpen staff via Totara Academy, and configured SSO, daily personnel‑database syncs, custom branding/terminology and personalized welcome messaging. Classroom and webinar management were enhanced with interest declarations and automatic webinar links. The result is a recognisable, easy‑to‑access platform with up‑to‑date user data, reduced administrative effort and positive early feedback.
