Piramal Foundation Empower Their Gandhifellowship Program With Totara Technology

Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership (PFEL), the social impact arm of Piramal Group, needed a future-ready digital platform to run its large-scale, values-driven Gandhi Fellowship. The challenge was to track learner progress across multiple value domains and more than 1,000 sub-competencies, provide gamified and assisted learning, enable mobile offline multilingual delivery, support rapid content authoring and assessment workflows, and integrate with existing and future systems while helping fellows define and realign career aspirations.

Edvanta implemented a highly customized Totara-based learning ecosystem — the MAP (My Aspiration Path) Mobile App — delivering offline H5P content, a rapid authoring toolkit, gamification (badges, simulations, rewards), peer-and-manager-driven assessments, learner journals, grievance and emergency tracking, and Office 365 integration. The platform now supports over 400 fellows across 20 states, strengthens reflective and collaborative learning, and provides a scalable foundation for PFEL to develop future leaders and social entrepreneurs as it works toward impacting one million lives.
