Case Study: Patria achieves systematic management of standardised qualifications with Totara Learn

A Totara Case Study

Preview of the Patria Case Study

Patria uses Totara Learn to systematically manage its standardised qualification process

Patria, a Finland-based defence, security and aviation lifecycle company with about 2,800 employees, needed a systematic way to manage long, standardised qualifications across the organisation. They wanted to move to digital learning to ensure everyone received the same high-quality material, improve reporting and cross‑organisational visibility of skills, and solve strict data‑protection and HR integration challenges so admins could focus on learning rather than manual maintenance.

Patria selected Totara Learn for its versatility and ready‑to‑use SaaS offering; integrations with HR systems were successful and 1,700 employees completed an initial Ethical Operation course. The platform streamlined training administration, reporting and learning plans, kept post‑classroom learning active, and increased transparency and manager satisfaction. After a trial year they deployed a more closed on‑premise instance to handle classified content and are expanding use of competencies and development workflows.
