Normec Foodcare's Journey with Totara Learn A Case Study in Multitenancy and Customization

Normec Foodcare, part of the Normec Group, needed a single learning platform to deliver blended training, e-learning, and classroom learning to both internal teams and external customers, while keeping each audience separated and manageable from one place. Totara Learn was selected to support multilingual training and the company’s need for a flexible, customizable experience across multiple brands and customer groups.

Totara implemented a multitenant setup through the Normec Academy, enabling separate learning environments for different tenants, including customer-specific spaces and a dedicated tenant for Normec Group. The result was a scaled platform with more than 4,000 users across 25 tenants, 21 of them for customers, plus self-registration, open-course access, custom training programs, and reporting for audits and progress tracking.
