Neste Jacobs promote continuous learning culture for Nordic petrochemical technology community

Neste Jacobs is the Nordic leader in technology, engineering and project services for oil, gas, petrochemical and related industries, with about 1,300 employees across Europe and beyond. HR leaders identified that business growth required a stronger culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing, but training materials were scattered—mostly shared by email—so visibility was low and there was no single system to manage appraisals, learning plans or the strict safety and certification compliance their operations demand.

They selected Discendum and Totara Learn and launched the NJ Academy within six months as a central LMS where employees can browse and access self-study materials, register for courses, run appraisal and learning plans, and track compliance and certifications. The platform and new eLearning content increased internal content development and cross-office knowledge sharing, made development opportunities visible to everyone, and delivered the reporting and compliance tracking required for safety-critical operations.
