Locala Community Partnerships deploys user-friendly learning platform to save staff time

Locala Community Partnerships delivers NHS community services to over 400,000 people across Kirklees with a workforce of around 1,300 staff working in homes, clinics and schools. Faced with limited clinician time and an unwieldy legacy LMS, Locala needed a simple, self-service system so staff could book and record training and skills assessments without constant administrator support.

Locala implemented Totara Learn via partner Chambury Learning Solutions, adding custom scripts to integrate reporting from their legacy Oracle system and later enabling Single Sign-On. The user-friendly platform has trained about 1,400 employees, allowed managers to cascade training, reduced administrator and IT overhead (fewer login and password issues), and created a joined-up learning, e‑learning and assessment platform to support future growth.
