Leigh academies trust improves consistency across its e-learning offering

Leigh Academies Trust, one of the UK’s largest multi‑academy trusts, needed a consistent, scalable approach to professional development for a geographically dispersed workforce. With pressure on recruitment and a mandate to equip all staff—not just teachers—with up‑to‑date skills, the trust required a way to deliver and monitor induction, safeguarding and health & safety training across multiple academies.

Working with Learning Pool, LAT implemented a Totara‑based LATOne MAT LMS to provide trust‑wide CPD, a common induction programme and targeted e‑learning. Using the Adapt Builder to create bespoke courses and Learning Pool’s consultancy support to roll out and refine the platform, the trust now delivers consistent training across schools, tracks compliance and progress centrally, and responds quickly to changing learning needs.
