LCI-UK’s blended learning program saves construction sector over £20m

LCI-UK, the Lean Construction Institute UK, needed a way to scale a standardized Lean construction training program across the supply chain while tracking learning journeys, improvement projects, and the benefits achieved. Working with Totara through partner Accipio, they aimed to support blended learning, improve capability across the sector, and capture measurable outcomes from Lean initiatives.

Totara, implemented by Accipio on Totara Learn, delivered a tailored learning platform with eLearning, seminars, qualification dashboards, coaching tracking, project/case-study management, and benefits-realisation reporting. The solution has already helped generate £5.3m of the £20m savings target, improved carbon emissions and lead times, and supported strong learner engagement with hundreds of badges issued and an average of at least two workshops attended per active user.
