Jurys Inn, a UK hotel chain operating across 40+ locations, needed to make new-employee training more consistent and timely to reduce high turnover among entry-level staff. With dispersed teams working around the clock, the HR team sought a solution to align learning with corporate strategy, widen access to induction, improve face-to-face training scheduling, generate management information, and give employees flexible, role-specific development options.
Since July 2012 Jurys Inn has used Learning Pool’s Grow Online portal and the BELONG pre-start induction to shift to a blended learning model. The online induction saves a day of classroom time, supports staff through their first six months, and then delivers tailored development—resulting in lower new-staff turnover, reduced recruitment and training costs, stronger teams and service, and industry recognition including finalist places at the Cateys and TJ Awards and a silver E-Learning Age award.
