Istituto Superiore Di Sanità National Health Institute Upscaled Their Lms by More Than 10x

Istituto Superiore Di Sanità (ISS), Italy’s National Institute of Health, needed to rapidly scale its EDUISS e-learning platform during the COVID-19 outbreak to train healthcare professionals. Using Totara Learn, ISS had to increase site users from 40,000 to more than 450,000 in less than a month while maintaining an active learning experience and strong reporting for a critical public health course.

Totara implemented Totara Learn 11 to support the Problem-Based Learning model, course content, updates, quizzes, certification, and participant monitoring. The result was a major success: the first course drew over 220,000 participants, more than doubling projections, and over 75% of learners completed it successfully with high satisfaction scores.
