ICUnet Supports Intercultural Communication With a Fun, Personalized LMS

ICUnet, a German SME that prepares professionals and managers for international cooperation and helps companies expand globally, needed a way to deliver targeted digital training in intercultural communication to a diverse, multinational audience. Working with Totara partner LearnChamp, they set out to replace their LMS with a solution that would provide intuitive, personalised learning for everyone from entry-level staff to experienced managers.

The result is the Global Manager on Totara Learn: an airport‑themed, HTML5-responsive platform that uses a dynamic world map, placement tests and short modular units to create individualised learning paths, blended with face-to-face sessions and interactive elements. The platform improved knowledge retention and ongoing referenceability, is highly user-friendly and adaptive to prior knowledge, and won the E‑Learning AWARD 2018 in the “Adaptive Learning System” category.
