How WCS Built an Innovative TXP to Support Performance Challenges

West College Scotland, a large further and higher education college with more than 21,000 students and 1,200 staff, needed a better way to manage mandatory training, performance conversations, compliance, and goal tracking. Their process was largely informal and unsupported by reliable data, with an outdated SharePoint document used very infrequently.

Totara partnered with WCS to build a user-centric learning ecosystem using Totara Learn and Perform, with custom support from Think Learning. The new setup added skills profiles, “My Conversations,” time-based course filtering, and real-time reporting for managers. As a result, compliance rose from 60% to 92%, users completed over 5,800 hours of learning, more than 200 hours were spent on evaluations, and 550 goals were added to the LMS.
