Transavia, the largest low-cost carrier in the Netherlands, needed a faster, more scalable way to onboard cabin crew while meeting strict aviation compliance and certification requirements. Its existing process relied heavily on classroom instruction and paper-based administration, creating inefficiencies during seasonal hiring peaks. Transavia turned to Totara and Totara LMS to modernize this critical training program.
With Totara, Transavia implemented a blended learning model that combined digital modules built with Articulate 360 and hands-on classroom sessions. Totara’s compliance tracking, real-time reporting, and digital assessments reduced manual work, improved visibility, and supported sustainability goals. The new approach boosted trainee readiness and delivered a 83.6% pass rate in 2024, with 347 of 415 new cabin crew successfully completing training.
