Grupo Financiero Banorte, a major financial services company in Mexico serving more than 8 million users, needed a better way to upskill its 7,500+ employees after rapid digital growth increased demand for self-service learning. With five separate e-learning providers in use, Banorte faced fragmented access, multiple logins, scattered learning records, and no centralized view for its Learning & Development team. Totara was selected as the platform foundation for the solution.
Banorte partnered with Totara and Kineo to build Apprende using Totara Learn and Engage, integrating content from five providers into one searchable catalog with SSO and centralized tracking. The result was access for more than 14,300 users to over 56,000 courses, with 77,000+ new course enrollments in the past 12 months. Totara also gave the L&D team a single place to monitor progress and engagement, making it easier to personalize learning paths and improve self-directed learning across the company.
