A Totara Case Study
Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH), which delivers inpatient and community mental health and substance-misuse services across Greater Manchester and employs about 5,400 staff, found national AICC e-learning packages didn’t sufficiently address mental-health–specific needs. With staff working across 143 locations and using a range of devices, the Trust needed bespoke, accessible learning that matched local policy and improved visibility of compliance and performance.
Working with Chambury Learning Solutions, GMMH used Totara Learn and the Adapt authoring tool to build responsive, Totara-compatible e-learning tailored by subject-matter experts, rapidly published on their Totara-based Learning Hub. The result: locally relevant, updatable content accessible on any device, stronger reporting at site/division/manager/individual levels, reduced frontline time away from service users, and a shareable library of branded packages that improved L&D capability and collaboration.
