Legacy systems and a culture of face‑to‑face training made classroom coordination logistically difficult and pulled frontline staff away from guests, while a mobile, scalable learning strategy was required to support digital, on‑the‑job workflows.
glh selected Totara Learn (via Learning Pool) to create a single source of truth with brand‑targeted portals, a responsive mobile interface, blended learning support and a performance appraisal module. The platform went live in three months; within six months staff completed over 18,500 e‑learning courses, e‑learning overtook classroom training, feedback was positive for the brand‑specific user experience, and the system now supports onboarding, performance management and plans for badges and further blended programmes.
