First Class Education Group improves learner engagement and reduces inefficient admin work with Totara Learn

First Class Education Group (FCEG) is the parent company of Flight Centre Travel Academy, Flight Centre Business School, Global Academy of Fitness and Evolution Business, delivering VET certificates and diplomas across Australia. FCEG was unhappy with their previous LMS and needed a more sophisticated but easy-to-use platform that could support multiple brands with distinct look-and-feel, provide advanced student progress reporting, and be managed by training teams without costly IT overhead.

In 2014 FCEG engaged My Learning Space to implement Totara Learn, including bespoke theming for each brand, managed hosting, support and training, plus integration with their student management system (VETtrak) and custom assessor tools. The new platform has delivered training to over 3,000 students, improved student engagement and survey scores, and removed inefficient manual administration—reducing costs and errors while providing faster, more accurate reporting.
