Shoalhaven City Council needed a faster, more efficient way to get information and training out to staff, but was limited by a single shared training room and required a learning management system that could also integrate with its HR system. Totara, through Totara Learn and implementation partner Kineo, was selected to help deliver this capability and connect learning with payroll, timesheets, and scheduled development.
Totara implemented a remotely deployed LMS during COVID-19, using a blended content approach that combined off-the-shelf materials with council-specific learning. The solution supported the HRS go-live, enabled 1,500 users to submit timesheets successfully, improved efficiency and management time savings, and provided smooth HR integration, with future reporting expected to further reduce administration and demonstrate ROI.
